Valworx 540612 electric actuated PVC butterfly valves are typically used for on-off control of water and liquid media compatible with the materials of construction. Ideal where NSF certified construction is required for potable drinking water as well as other industrial applications. These actuated valves use power-to-open and power-to-close, stay in last known position with loss of power. On receipt of a continuous voltage signal, the motor runs and a self-locking all-metal gear drive rotates the disc. The motor is stopped by internal cams striking limit switches. On receipt of a reversing continuous signal, the motor turns in the opposite direction reversing the valve position.
PVC butterfly valves should never be used for compressed gas applications.
Rugged unique integral motor/housing design provides higher torque in a very small package. Actuators are tested to rigorous UL and CSA standards and certified by CSA. Anti-condensation heater is standard and will help protect actuator against damage caused by condensation. Two auxiliary limit switches are included to confirm valve open and closed positions. Typical applications include industrial/process piping, pulp and paper, food processing, water treatment and irrigation.
