WYNNsky Brass Ball Valve
This is WYNNsky 1/4" Brass Mini Ball Valve.Ball valves use a spherical disc to control the flow between pipes, tubes, or hoses. It is made of forged brass for higher corrosion resistance than steel and has a plastic-covered lever handle for on/off manual control. Do not over tighten. Can be used to give your tool full air flow to total shut-off. Designed for use on all pneumatic circuits and features a quick connect/disconnect positive seal.

I installed this on my 30 gallon compressor and ran a leak down test overnight. Minimum loss was observed. I wasn't sure I'd like the 180 degree rotation but I do. The handle is a little flimsy but it's not meant to have a lot of torque put on it anyway and is more than reasonable. The valve turns smoothly in both directions and shuts off completely. The valve itself and the body seem to be well made. Threads are clean and sharp. Overall, for under $10, this is a good deal. I hope this was helpful.

UPDATE: I received a response from WYNNSKY regarding the defective valve. They were kind enough to offer a replacement immediately! These are great little valves that do the job they are intended to do. Unfortunately 1 failed. This is what good companies do! Stand behind their product! Great job and thank you for the quick response!

Application: small air compressor shut off, replacing an old worn (leaking) DeVilbiss full port.
The Wynnsky valve is compact and worked in the space I needed the valve to work in, otherwise I would have bought a bulkier Milton valve.
The valve doesn't leak, and the red glop on the male end worked to seal the valve without additional Teflon tape.
The down side of this valve is that "full port" is a stretch. The port side is about the size of an industrial type quick connect lumen. Thus, this valve is like having another "industrial" quick connect in series with the air flow. The original DeVilbiss was maybe 1/3 larger diameter lumen and about the same physical overall size so the Wynnsky valve is a downgrade with respect to flow.
In my case the compressor is small, but if I can find a larger port valve that fits in the small space I'd change the valve to reduce flow restriction-- I am gradually changing to Milton V quick connects having a much larger lumen than industrial quick connects.

The tiny standard drain valve at the bottom of my air compressor was always a pain in the , . . .knees to reach. So, I replaced it with 6 inches of 1/4" pipe, a couple street elbows and this valve. It is smooth operating, small, and holds 150 PSI without leaks. My "knee . . ds" were met.

I purchased three of these -- one two years ago and one recently. One is on a pressure tester that is used to 60 psi and two are on a propane test device that sees only 15" of water column, but in both cases they must not leak. All the valves work fine. The ones I received all had a sealant pre-applied to the male threads, but not shown in the photos. That pre-applied sealant worked very well. The ones I received interfaced properly with national pipe thread fittings -- not so with a different brand, of lower cost that I tried!

I was NOT paying attention when I ordered this valve. The threading is completely different from plumbing 1/4". But I didn't return it and tossed it in the drawer with my air compressor. Then, the other day I needed to use that compressor with TWO different nailers. I inserted this valve at the compressor outlet and now I could change the tool on the end of the hose without air blasting all over the place. Sometimes stupidity is vindicated!
