I have two 1 1/4" ball valves that we left stubbed out as the supply and return for what was at the time my unfinished basement. I am now in the process of finishing the basement and wondering if it is possible, acceptable, or a good idea to try and sweat the manifolds for my basement zones while there is water on the other side of the valve?? Seems that the temperature will create a great amount of pressure and the presence of the water will make achieving the proper temperature very difficult. But draining the entire system is a real pain, so if there is a better option I would like to know.
Thanks
